FMI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing young musicians with a high-quality, inspiring musical experience. Each summer, students come together for four days of intensive instruction, ensemble playing, and performance.

Your contribution helps FMI cover the costs of:

• Outstanding faculty — experienced teachers who provide masterclasses, group instruction, ensembles, and individual coaching.
• Collaborative piano — professional accompaniment for classes and performances.
• Facilities and equipment — the classrooms, performance spaces, instruments, and equipment needed to run the institute.
• Student scholarships — helping make FMI accessible to families who need financial assistance. FMI currently offers a limited number of need-based partial scholarships.
• Program expenses — the many behind-the-scenes costs involved in bringing students, teachers, and families together for this four-day experience.
